One of our food processing clients in North York, ON is looking for a Refrigeration B Mechanic for their facility.
Shift - PM shifts available
Responsibilities:
Performs routine equipment maintenance, clean boilers, refrigeration, HVAC, fuel, water treatment, compressed air systems throughout plant.
Troubleshoot and repair heating/cooling systems, brine chiller, humidification, air handling equipment, hot water system, repair high pressure hoses and pumps.
Maintains repairs, troubleshoots electrical problem, routine preventive maintenance, install and repair water/drainage piping, compressed air piping repairs, ammonia piping system repairs.
Must be proficient at checking and inspecting all aspects of a refrigeration system including equipment, detectors, and delivery systems.
Must be proficient at welding.
Qualifications
Must be a Certified Refrigeration Mechanic and a Millwright license.
The successful candidate will have a minimum 2 to 3 years in a similar role.
Knowledge of refrigeration and particularly ammonia refrigeration is must.
Understanding of blueprints, drawings, schematics, P&ID's.
General mechanical knowledge, including knowledge of electricity, motors, gear ratios, valves, conveyors, pumps, VFD's, PLC's, control wiring, refrigeration, and hydraulics.
Flexibility with hours, including being on call when needed.
