Job Title: Interpreter (Korean, Swahill, Somali,
Brazilian Portuguese)

Location: Remote
Work Shift: Part-time (Project-based), with weekly hours fluctuating based on project load
Duration: 4 months (with the possibility of extension)
Pay Rate: $31/hr (W2)

Position Summary

The Interpreter will facilitate effective communication between individuals who do not share a common language by translating spoken or written content. This role supports a range of functions, including but not limited to: Employment, Training & Orientation, Meetings, Human Resources, Health Services, and other operational activities as assigned.

Key responsibilities include:

• Written translations
• Video and phone interpretations
• Voice recording
• Translation reviews and editing

This is a project-based position requiring strict adherence to confidentiality standards. The schedule is flexible, with deadlines for weekly project completion, making it an excellent opportunity for supplemental income.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Certification in interpreting/translation (preferred)

Experience

• Must achieve an average score of 90% or higher on the company’s translation assessment
• At least 1 year of experience as an interpreter/translator or a combination of relevant education and experience

Skills

• Communication: Strong verbal and written proficiency in English and the target language
• Confidentiality: Working knowledge of interpreting/translating best practices, with a focus on maintaining confidentiality
• Technical:
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and virtual meeting platforms (e.g., Zoom, Teams)
  • Basic computer and typing skills
  • Reliable internet connection
