Job Description:

Join our client’s dynamic team in a pivotal role as an Inventory Management Specialist. Working closely under the guidance of our Stock Room Supervisor, this key position involves meticulously handling all incoming packages and materials, ensuring the thoroughness and accuracy of inventory records, and maintaining orderliness within our state-of-the-art Made2Manage (M2M) system.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently operating an assortment of standard manual and automatic equipment.
  • Receiving, unpacking, and carefully inspecting materials and supplies, verifying all receipts against purchase orders to identify any discrepancies such as improper shipments, shortages, damages, or defects.
  • Diligently entering and updating inventory information in the M2M system and addressing any discrepancies in received orders.
  • Ensuring the prompt distribution of materials to the appropriate department or storage location and utilizing power trucks for material movement when necessary.
  • Consistently delivering all original paperwork to the Accounting department daily.
  • Assisting with shipping and crating tasks as required and processing all returned parts for Customer Service.
  • Providing support as a backup to the Lead Shipping Clerk and undertaking additional responsibilities as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or an equivalent qualification.
  • At least two years of relevant experience in a shipping and receiving role, preferably within a manufacturing setting.
  • Proficiency in computer use.
  • Competency in basic mathematics, including fractions and decimals.
  • Proficiency in using a tape measure, calipers, and scale.
  • Certified or capable of operating forklifts and pallet jacks while observing all safety protocols.
  • A foundational knowledge of using hand and power tools is desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to be a self-driven team player, thriving in a fast-paced and ever-evolving environment.
