Job Title: Level Two Hot Header Machine Operator

Location: Gardena, CA

Company Overview:
Our aerospace company in Gardena specializes in manufacturing high-quality components for the aerospace industry. We are currently seeking a Level Two Hot Header Machine Operator to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and perform basic setups of heading machines, including non-progressive cold headers and potentially progressive hot headers, under minimal supervision.
  • Ensure safe work practices by following functional safety guidelines, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe equipment interaction.
  • Adhere to quality processes, including in-process inspection, to ensure compliance with quality specifications and standards.
  • Correctly interpret work orders and execute tasks accordingly.
  • Lift up to 45lbs as required during machine operation and material handling.
  • Conduct full in-process inspection of parts to verify quality and identify any defects or deviations from specifications.
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment, following instructions and assisting others as needed to meet production goals.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested by supervisors.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience operating heading machines, preferably including non-progressive cold headers.
  • Familiarity with progressive hot headers is a plus.
  • Ability to lift up to 45lbs and perform physically demanding tasks as required.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret work orders accurately.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to follow safety guidelines and adhere to quality standards.
  • Availability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
