Shakti Sustainable Energy Foundation (Shakti) works to facilitate India’s transition to a cleaner energy future, by aiding the design and implementation of policies that promote solutions across energy (clean power, industry, buildings, sustainable transport), non-energy (agriculture, food systems and land) and cross-cutting themes of climate policy, climate finance, and climate insights.  Over the last many years, Shakti has become a trusted partner of many policymakers who have requested the organization’s input. 4. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to the Director – Climate Insights, Cities & Critical Raw Material, the Intern -Climate Insights Unit (ICIU) shall handle the following responsibilities.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

(1) Support in the development and management of research projects;
(2) Assist in the analysis of collected data and contribute to presenting findings and conclusions in reports and presentations;
(3) Assist in writing reports and issue papers in collaboration with team members;
(4) Prepare presentations for stakeholders;
(5) Maintain databases for the team in respect of stakeholders, projects, funding agencies, etc.;
(6) Help the team in outreach and communication;
(7) Assist in preparing funder proposals, managing projects and planning events;
(8) Engage with relevant stakeholders;
(9) Any other responsibility assigned by the programme team.

5. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

Qualification:

Master’s degree, or equivalent in Public Policy, Economics, Climate Science, Environment, Energy, Engineering or related streams, from a reputed University or Institute.

Experience and Essential Skills and Competencies

(1) Energetic and diligent individual who is aware of the trends in the energy and climate domain;
(2) Climate optimist with a ‘Can do’ spirit;
(3) Strong in research, data collation, and data analysis;
(4) Demonstrated excellence in written/ verbal communications and presentation skills;
(5) Proficient in MS Office, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
(6) Self-driven, committed and willing to assume delegated responsibilities;
(7) Excellent teamworking and collaboration skills.

6. STIPEND; TENURE:

The selected candidate shall be offered an all-inclusive stipend of INR 45,000/- per month. The tenure of internship is six months with possibility of extension/ regularization.
