MDB Group is looking to fill a Data Scientist (ORSA) – Army Force Development position for our customer in Arlington, VA. We are a Small Business Administration certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) located in Lorton, Virginia. MDB Group provides  Technical, Operational, Force Development, Financial, and Acquisition Consulting Services to the Department of Defense. We currently have team members supporting the Army Deputy Chief of Staff for Programs (G-8) Force Development (FD) Directorates; the Assistant Secretary of the Army (Acquisition, Logistics, and Technology): and the Office of the Under Secretary of Defence for Intelligence & Security. We are honored to have been awarded our third consecutive Army G8 Force Development contract. 

• Experience providing data science applications addressing organizational needs, such as improving insights into programs, optimizing operations within the Directorate, or enhancing decision-making processes.
• Requires Programming experience in R or Python with a specific emphasis on data analysis frameworks (Pandas, NumPy, Tidyverse), data visualization frameworks (Shiny, Streamlit, Dash, Plotly, ggplot2), and SQL databases (Postgres, Oracle).                               

• Provide data science-rooted analysis in support of the Army's annual POM development and defense. This includes but is not limited to developing digital applications and analyses using modern programming languages and data visualization tools in support of POM planning, POM build, and Program budget review.  
• Provide responsive and independent analysis to inform, influence, and synchronize requirements, data, and programming for the development of the Program Objective Memorandum.

• DoD Army Force Development/Force Management experience. 
• HQDA or equivalent level experience (Marine Corps, Navy, and Air Force).
• Army Force Management School Courses such as How The Army Runs (HTAR) or Any such courses.
• Bachelor’s Degree

• A minimum of eight (8) years of Data Scientist/ORSA experience at most senior levels of the military such as the HQDA, MACOMS, or Army Service Component Commands.
• Experience on Pentagon/DOD staff or acquisition assignments.
