The ideal candidate will have experience within a family office environment or supporting high net worth clients from an accounting and tax perspective
Interacting directly with the Ownership/Executive Group and reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the position provides complete and accurate reporting, analyses and work product for the Corporate/Family office, which includes:
· Overseeing all activities of the general ledgers including cash and investments, bank reconciliations, verification of posted entries, travel expenses etc. for the Ownership/Executive Group
· Preparing the monthly financial statement close and reporting of various non-core Company operations including real estate and captive insurance companies and a foundation
· Overseeing the preparation of the Company’s and Ownership/Executive Group tax workpapers and review of tax returns, which are prepared by an outside firm
· Maintaining banking, insurance and other relationships for certain subsidiaries of the Company and the Ownership/Executive Group
· Providing support to the Company’s accounting department for various real estate, inter-company operations and other activities
· Performing special projects as advised by the Ownership/Executive Group
Qualifications:
· 7+ years of Accounting/Tax experience, ideally within family office or a client service type industry
· Experience supporting Company Ownership/Executive Management / high net worth clients
· Outstanding analytical, planning and organizational skills
· Ability to multi-task and maintain confidentiality of corporate/personal information
· Availability to work extended seasonal hours
· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA/MBA preferred
