The Regional Clinical Director will cover Iowa and can reside anywhere in the state. In-State Travel four (4) days per week is required.  The RDCS has several key functions.  They include providing clinical support to each hospice program concerning conflicting issues of patient appropriateness, recertification, and compliance of the programs.  This position will require scheduled visits to the hospice programs to conduct Audits to ensure a high standard of compliance for the hospice offices.  Along with the scheduled visits, the RDCS will have the responsibility to ensure that the Supervisors & staff are properly trained and in serviced on the Policies and Procedures of our company and on the State and Medicare Regulations.  
 
Qualifications

  • Current Registered Nurse licensure in IA.
  • Minimum of four (4) years nursing experience in hospice.
  • Minimum of two (2) years supervisory and administrative experience in hospice management, QI/PI, Audits, and training of hospice program staff.
  • Thorough understanding of the Medicare Regulations for Hospice.
  • Ability to communicate and train hospice staff on State and Federal Hospice Regulations.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of the functions of a hospice organization.
  • Ability to plan, coordinate, direct and control the health services of a hospice.
  • Competency in general nursing theory, techniques, and practice.
