Behavioral Health Clinical Director - Middle Tennessee Offices

Allied Behavioral Health Solutions (ABHS) is a locally owned behavioral health practice with a staff of dedicated, passionate, and collaborative clinicians working towards ABHS’ goal of better outcomes for all. Since 2017, ABHS has been committed to providing high quality and accessible mental health services across Middle and East Tennessee. Our staff specialize in a variety of topics and treatment methods to allow us to meet every client wherever they may be through outpatient and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) programming and medication management. ABHS consists of a closely connected core group of therapists who collaborate and support each other’s professional goals. We are most interested in someone who recognizes relationships as the essential vehicle for supporting clients and clinicians to engage in effective behavioral healthcare. The best candidate will be able to translate that into their leadership skills and clinical services. We provide paid clinical supervision for pre-licensure clinicians, a yearly continuing education/materials stipend, paid trainings in evidence-based practices, paid orientation to the position, and flexible scheduling with work from home and telehealth options. PTO and benefits are also available for full-time staff.


This position oversees the clinical services and leadership development for all behavioral health staff in the four Middle Tennessee offices; Clarksville, Goodlettsville, Nashville, and Smyrna. This position oversees the Team Coordinators (3) for these offices and supports them in building team culture, addressing team needs, and supporting team members to provide high-quality clinical services in their respective offices. This position will support ongoing development and expansion of behavioral health services within these offices and support the organizational vision for increasing access to services in these areas.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead development and implementation of ABHS programming in the Middle region of Tennessee
  • Provide oversight and direction for the Middle Tennessee team at large to support team culture, fidelity to KPI metrics, quality of client services, and promotion of organizational values
  • Develop leadership of Team Coordinator level positions to effectively support team members and ensure effective realization of program goals and mission
  • Collaborate with fiscal department to engage in budget oversight, management, and invoices
  • Complete grant reports as required by associated funding streams for Middle Tennessee programming
  • Meet weekly with Vice President of Clinical Services to address concerns regarding staff performance, to review teams needs for leadership consideration, and to engage in strategic vision planning
  • Support program evaluation, CQI process, and quarterly reporting to funding sources as applicable
  • Provide support to Team Coordinator positions as they meet with team to address productivity, UR completion, and team updates/needs
  • Support Coordinator positions in responding effectively to client crisis concerns Engage in interviewing, hiring, and supporting team members to be their most effective professional selves
  • Maintain a clinical caseload of approximately 40 hours of contact per month
  • Build and steward relationships with key community champions and stakeholders, supporting effective communication and collaboration as needed
  • Ensure compliance with state clinical and educational licensing requirements, health and safety standards, etc.
  • Assess and ensure continuity of organizational census, asking Administrative Team to assign cases as warranted by review of monthly numbers and open availability on clinician schedule
  • Interview potential candidates and make recommendations for staff expansion as deemed necessary
  • Support the development and implementation of marketing strategies, funding strategies, and strategic planning as they relate to Middle Tennessee outpatient services
  • Engage with Leadership Team in meetings and provide feedback of development of staff
  • Engage with the CEO and VP of Clinical Services in completing annual performance reviews.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Licensure as LPC-MHSP, LCSW, or equivalent.
  • Must have experience in providing licensure supervision and meet requirements of their licensure discipline to provide clinical supervision.
  • 5 years clinical experience required; 7 years clinical experience preferred.

Compensation: $85,000 - $95,000 per year
