Job Description:

We are delighted to present an outstanding opportunity for a dedicated Mechanical Assembler II to join our client's dynamic team in the Plant-Assembly department. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic, a commitment to excellence, and an eagerness to learn and grow. Reporting to the Production Supervisor and collaborating closely with Assembly Leads, you will play a critical role in the assembly of high-quality machines, utilizing your hands-on mechanical skills and attention to detail.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble machine components accurately, utilizing a wide range of hand tools and power tools.
  • Interpret mechanical blueprints and execute assembly tasks according to precise specifications.
  • Provide timely reports to the Assembly Lead or Supervisor regarding any challenges encountered.
  • Complete machine assembly tasks with minimal oversight, ensuring a high standard of quality.
  • Efficiently use the Made2Manage (M2M) and traveler systems to ensure proper job tracking.
  • Adhere to strict safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Identify and differentiate various parts and their specifications to ensure flawless assembly.
  • Meet project deadlines consistently while demonstrating excellent organizational skills.

 

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Transport parts and components to different departments as required.
  • Engage in welding activities when assigned and possess welding knowledge (TIG and MIG is advantageous).
  • Undertake additional responsibilities and assist with related duties as needed.

 

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is highly preferred.
  • A minimum of three years' experience in a similar role (Assembler I) within a manufacturing setting.
  • Proven mechanical aptitude and familiarity with the usage of various tools.
  • Welding skills and experience are beneficial, but not mandatory.
  • Ability to put together machines with minimal guidance.
  • Deep understanding of established safety procedures is mandatory.
  • Outstanding organizational and time management abilities, an eye for detail, and the capacity to prioritize effectively across multiple projects.

 

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

The role involves a combination of tasks that require strong physical health and stamina. You must be able to engage in various physical activities such as pushing, pulling, stooping, squatting, and lifting as per job requirements. Reasonable accommodations may be made to empower individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.

  • The job involves a high frequency of fine motor handling (50%), standing (80%), and near visual acuity (85%).
  • Physical demands also include pushing and pulling up to 50 pounds with wheels, and 40 pounds without wheels.
