JOB TITLE: QC Inspector I - Aerospace

LOCATION: Savannah, GA

PAY RATE: $32.18 per hour

Summary: 

 

  • Work in a team-oriented environment to perform inspections and ensure aircraft parts, sub-assemblies, major assemblies, and installations meet type design data.

  • Perform inspections using engineering drawings, route cards, work instructions, and technical specifications.

  • Conduct preliminary, progressive, and final inspections, ensuring functional operation and compliance with paperwork.

  • Witness, verify, and document specific manufacturing processes.

  • Perform conformity/first article inspections per FAA-approved procedures.

  • Ensure proper use and storage of tools and equipment.

  • Promote workplace and product safety by reporting hazards and participating in safety programs.

  • Provide technical support to manufacturing personnel.

  • Conduct area inspections for standards compliance.

  • Participate in continuous improvement activities.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • 1 year of quality inspection experience or 2 years of GAC manufacturing experience required.

  • 2 years of manufacturing or equivalent aerospace experience preferred.

  • Formal Inspection Training Program (90 Days) required.

  • Knowledge of shop mathematics, CATIA, and blueprint interpretation.

  • Proficient in using basic shop tools and equipment.
