Position: ServiceNow SAM Consultant

Location: Southington, CT (Hybrid - 2 days office, three days remote)

Experience: 10+ years

Work Type: Full-time (W2) / C2C

PETADATA is currently looking to hire for the position of ServiceNow SAM Consultant for one of their clients.

Job Summary:

PETADATA seeks an experienced ServiceNow SAM Consultant for client engagement. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in Software Asset Management, ServiceNow SAM Pro, and ITAM, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and manage Software Asset Management (SAM) processes using ServiceNow

  • Conduct software normalization and track usage

  • Understand licenses, entitlements, and compliance reporting

  • Manage reclamations, monitor renewals, and provide dashboard reporting

  • Design and develop workflows using ServiceNow Flow Designer

  • Build catalog items and supporting workflows

  • Perform impact analysis and quality control

  • Integrate data sources and optimize IRE and CMDB 360 capabilities

  • Utilize discovery patterns and best practices for reporting

  • Govern the environment using Workspaces and Cloud Discovery

Requirements:

  • 12+ years of experience in ServiceNow SAM, ITAM, or related fields

  • ServiceNow SAM Pro certification

  • Expertise in software normalization, license management, and compliance

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

  • Experience with Flow Designer, reporting, and dashboarding

  • Knowledge of ITAM, CMDB, Asset Management, and data analytics

  • Proficiency in PowerShell, Python, and Integration Hub

  • Discovery schedule management and cloud resource reporting experience

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with multi-sourcing and CMDB optimization

  • Understanding of ephemeral resources and cloud dynamics

  • Familiarity with CI relationships and compliance measurement

 Primary Skills:

  • ITAM, CMDB, Asset Management., Workflow Designer, Data analytics, PowerShell and Python and integration hub, discovery schedule Management

Educational Qualification:

Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred: master's degree in engineering or business
