We are looking for someone who has experience in a pharmacy or retail, good communication and customer service skills, smartly dressed with excellent command of the English language and organisation skills. This is because you will be talking to a variety of patients who will each have individual needs, so these types of skills are very important to us. To help you thrive in a pharmacy setting, you should be punctual not only arriving to work but also meeting deadlines. A friendly personality, keen to progress within your setting, a caring team member, hardworking and have a willingness to learn are all skills we are looking for.

This is a unique role as you will gain both experience as a trainee pharmacy technician across both Community pharmacy and within a GP surgery across your working week. The surgery will be Grange Medical Centre (one day a week 999 York Road, Seacroft, Leeds, LS14 6NX, please ensure you can travel to both sites)

GCSEs at grades C/4 or above (or equivalent) in 

Maths, English and Science are essential to undertake this programme. Ideally has an NVQ2 as a Pharmacy Assistant.

Working Hours

Mon-Fri 30 hours between hours of 8.30am-6.30pm, some Saturday maybe required on a rota, 6 of 30 hours will be training time (paid inclusive of 30 hours)

What are the duties of the role?

  • Support with patient consultations
  • Dispensing medicine
  • General admin
  • Dealing with over the counter and phone enquiries
  • Use of the computer and the pharmacy specific software
  • Checking off and unpacking orders
  • Stock management
  • Date checking of stock
  • Processing NHS prescriptions
  • Completion of apprenticeship work every week for 6 hours (Paid)
  • Attendance of virtual training session through Microsoft Teams

Things to consider- All training is delivered by Woodspeen remotely to the workplace via Teams. There is no travelling involved for training
