Job Summary

The office is responsible for technical analysis; understanding the complexities and risks of denied area technical operations; and applying these two core competencies to the designing, implementing, operating and maintaining of secure, reliable, bespoke network infrastructures and communications solutions. The requirement is for operational support of communications solutions, from review and decision to deployment and decommission. The selected candidates will be responsible for coordinating and managing technical tasks and projects as part of a multi-functional team.

 

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide systems engineering and operations and maintenance for the Sponsor’s bespoke, mission critical, operational network.
  • Create living documentation detailing the network both as-is and forward looking.
  • Ensure that configuration data is sourced from, and maintained in, the Sponsor’s custom - database.
  • In coordination with Sponsor’s governance bodies, update the infrastructure components on a planned lifecycle or when deemed necessary
  • Gain Approval-To-Operate for the network via the Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 503 process.

 

Experience Needed:

  • Citizenship: Must Be a US Citizen
  • Existing Clearance Required: Active Top Secret SCI with Full Scope Poly ( NSA not mandatory
  • Demonstrated experience deploying and administering Linux systems.
  • Demonstrated experience with Linux networking, to include iptables, firewalld, and Linux-as-a-Router.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with networking hardware, to include Cisco and Juniper.
  • Demonstrated experience with networking fundamentals, operations, and maintenance.
  • Demonstrated experience with Linux system administration, to include scripting and automation technologies.
  • Demonstrated experience with network monitoring, including the use of Packet-Capture and log review.
  • Demonstrated experience developing, testing, analyzing, and using bespoke technical solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience with virtualization technologies, including oVirt and Open vSwitch.
  • Demonstrated experience with ICD 503 process and obtaining Approval-To-Operate.
  • Demonstrated experience building, operating and maintaining, “Zero Trust” Architectures and Networks.
  • Demonstrated experience with Bespoke Operational Procurement.
  • Demonstrated experience with User enrollment and training.

Other skills and demonstrated knowledge that are highly desired but not required to perform the work include:

  • Demonstrated experience with denied area technical operations.
  • Demonstrated experience with configuration and operation of different VOIP technologies.
  • Demonstrated experience with networking, especially concerning Linux systems and VPN technologies.
  • Demonstrated experience applying knowledge from emerging technologies research for immediate gain.

Travel is anticipated upon Sponsor approval for the following categories:

  Local travel/POV will be on an as needed basis, within the local place of performance.

  Temporary Duty (TDY) travel is anticipated within the Continental United States (CONUS)

  TDY travel is anticipated outside the Continental United States (OCONUS)
