Job Description

Key Performance Indicators

 

  • Operating Cash Flow
  • Net Profit Margin
  • Current Accounts Receivables & Accounts Payable
  • Adherence to Financial systems.
  • Updated policies and processes
  • Audit findings resolved by deadlines.
  • Budget variance.
  • Timely submission of budgets vis-à-vis business forecasts.
  • Timely submission of all financial reports as per management directives.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • To oversee the unit’s overall accounting and financial management requirements including banking activities.
  • To assist the GM in preparing annual budgets & monthly forecasts.
  • To verify all financial reports and ensure that all transactions are accurate and in compliance with government regulations.
  • To prepare and submits management reports in a timely manner and also ensuring delivery deadlines.
  • To develop and maintains internal control systems and establish internal reviews and financial related compliance policies and procedures.
  • To ensure a strong accounting and operational control environment to safeguard all company assets.
  • To evaluate and manage all financial risks from time to time and appraise the management about the same.
  • To act proactively on cost control initiatives wherever possible.
  • To ensure timely generation of invoices to clients and also to periodically carry out follow up for outstanding payments and inform management about its status.

  • To Lead and develop an efficient Finance and Accounting Department.
  • To monitor and improve Unit operation costs & profitability and also cash flow management and payment plans.
  • To ensure profits and losses are documented accurately and the units accounting software is updated in real time and the reconciliation of accounts is done as per set time frame.
  • To oversee internal, external and regulatory audit processes.
  • To ensure the safekeeping and updating of all legal documentation including relent licenses.
  • To oversee accuracy of all inventories in stores and carry out surprise inventory audits.
  • To ensure monthly payrolls are processed timely.
  • Responsible to support and liaise with the General Manager in meeting the strategic goals of the organization.
  • To participate in the employee performance appraisal process, providing feedback as needed.
  • Any other duty as assignment by the Management

Skills / Competence Requirements

 

  • Sound knowledge of Financial systems and proficient in accounting software’s.
  • Should possess strong analytical skills very well organized.
  • Can be relied upon to act ethically and with high level of integrity.
  • Strong leadership qualities and ability to lead and motivate team.
  • Should possess auditing experience.
  • Efficient in producing and analyzing financial reports.
  • Ability to work and plan under constraints of deadlines.

  • Qualified Charted Accountant (CA) / Certified Public Accountant (CPA

  • 10-12 years’ experience of handling day-to-day financial operations in big Hotel Industry.
  • Proven experience in finance management.
Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
