Position: Analyzing Technician I

Pay Rate: $20/hr. (W2 without benefits)

Location: Allen TX 75002

Duration: 6+ months (Temp to Hire)

Estimated Regular Hours/Week: 1st shift - Hours: 6:00 am to 2:30 pm

Schedule: Monday thru Friday

 

Description:

SUMMARY/SCOPE OF POSITION:

  • The Electronic Technician will be working in an electronics manufacturing environment diagnosing and testing Digital Video Recorder Systems and peripherals.
  • This position will require proven ability to work from schematics, drawings, inspection reports, engineering documents and any instructions (oral or written) from the supervisor.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • This position requires an ability to diagnose and troubleshoot electronic products down to the sub-assembly and/or component level.
  • Primary responsibilities will be to troubleshoot and test various Mobile/Fixed Video systems and peripherals using test stations and industry standard diagnostics equipment.
  • Knowledge and attention to ESD practices are required.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills are expected in order to work with our Engineering and Customer Service departments.
  • Looking for someone who has been a repair / return technician in the Electronic Industry.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Very good understanding of Analog and Digital Electronics and prior experience in troubleshooting of Electronic Printed Circuit Assemblies (2+ yrs. experience min).
  • Proven and demonstrable skills related to circuit analysis, fault isolation and root cause determination.
  • Must have SAP knowledge
  • Must have the ability to consistently and accurately enter data in the SAP system
  • Must be very familiar and comfortable working with the current Digital electronics technologies. Proven experience with troubleshooting PCBAs that contain Micro controllers, Memories, Programmable devices (FPGAs, etc.) and Low Power signals will be essential.
  • Experience using DVMs, Oscilloscopes and other general purpose Test equipment during PCBA diagnosis and repair.
  • Good knowledge of Computers, basic concepts of Networking, working with MAC Ids and IP addresses, etc. is essential for this job. Attention to detail is a must.
  • Aptitude and passion for learning new technologies and processes, along with good organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision.
  • Ability to work and support management production requirements and meet deadlines.
  • Ensure high quality work is performed with repeatability and reliability.
  • Able to perform within a diverse cultural work group.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good moral character and able to fit into the company culture.

 

EDUCATION: A 2- or 4-year Technical Degree preferred.

 

EXPERIENCE: 2-5 years of work-related experience in electronics related field required.
