Technical Writer

Remote – Seattle, WA (Look for local people or in PST zone.)  

Job Description

Required 

• 5+ years of experience as a technical writer for product documentation or online publishing, including experience with writing technical customer-facing materials  
• Proven understanding of modern software development concepts   
• Ability to organize information into an easy-to-understand hierarchy  
• Self-driven, with strong time management and prioritization skills  
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly, as well as understand why they’re important to our users  
• Ability to set priorities and undertake complex tasks with minimal supervision  
• Understanding of the Software and Documentation Development Life Cycles  
• Can collaborate cross-functionally with people in all ranks, teams, and disciplines across the company  
• Experience with XML-based publishing systems, Git, and Markdown  
• Knowledge of or familiarity with programming concepts in one or more of these languages: PowerShell, C#, .NET, Python, REST, ARM, etc. 

Preferred 

• Experience with networking and telecom technologies   
• Experience with Madcap Flare 
• Experience with Jira, automation, scripting 
• Experience with Kubernetes and Cloud Native technologies 
• Experience in writing API documentation
