Job Description

Little Blossoms Family Engagement Coordinator

Allied Behavioral Health Solutions (ABHS) is a locally owned behavioral health practice with a staff of dedicated, passionate, and collaborative clinicians working towards ABHS’ goal of better outcomes for all. Since 2017, ABHS has been committed to providing high quality and accessible mental health services across Middle and East Tennessee. In September 2024, ABHS opened the Resilient Roots Family Wellness Center (RRFWC) in Smyrna, a community space that will include clinical outpatient psychotherapy across the lifespan, intensive outpatient programming for perinatal mental health and children aged 8-12 and associated behavioral health services, a community hub, and a therapeutic preschool, Little Blossoms Early Learning & Development Center, with inclusion classes for children 6 weeks - 5 years of age (pre-K). The ideal candidates for roles within RRWC will be passionate about supporting parents, infants, children, and families in meeting their mental health and educational goals.
 
The RRWC Family Engagement Coordinator supports family and children’s initial engagement with Little Blossoms Early Learning & Development Center, all ongoing coordination of service associated with enrollment at Little Blossoms including the screening and referrals of children for various services, and oversees the Collaborative team.
 
Reports to: Director of Early Childhood Education
 
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Complete initial tours of the Center for interested children and families and track all leads, inquiries, tours, enrollments/registrations, and associated documentation through the Procare app and communicate weekly reports around KPIs to Education Director.
  • Ensure that staff are able to engage with families effectively through the Procare app and maintain timely and accurate daily documentation of check in/check out, diapering, toileting, naps, meals, illness/accidents, etc.
  • Engage in the development of a consistent process for completing initial screenings and assessment of all children’s skills, capacities, and current services to facilitate referrals and warm hand-offs to behavioral health services as necessary including completion of ASQ/ASQ-SE at established intervals by caregivers and education staff.
  • Support Educators in engaging with families to learn about effective strategies at home or new efforts by families to incorporate individualized supports in the classroom.
  • Support Educators with breaks, classroom coverage, etc. as needed and assigned by Education Director.
  • Complete CHILD classroom evaluations to support educators in creating a therapeutic learning environment and complete CPI training with new staff.
  • Conduct support meetings with families at 45 and 90 days of enrollment to ensure family engagement and effective communication.
  • Collaborate with Community Liaison to develop and organize family events, workshops, and informational sessions to promote parental involvement and support, leading at least 10 annual events.
  • Develop, implement, hire (screen, schedule, and interview), and manage a Collaborative Team of at least 3 educators to serve as additional supports and flexible classroom educators, allowing for consistency and stability in emotionally available caregivers for students and families.
  • Collaborate with RRWC staff to ensure strong and trusting relationships with students, parents, guardians, and families.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Previous experience in a leadership role within a preschool or early childhood education setting.
  • Knowledge of child development principles, early learning standards, and best practices in early childhood education.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and family engagement skills.
  • Commitment to promoting community-focused, family-centered, and relationally engaged approaches in all aspects of the preschool's operations.
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills.
Physical Demands: This position will require light to medium work involving standing or walking most of the time with some lifting in excess of 20lbs. Position will also frequently reach above the shoulders, climbing stairs, and spending time outdoors in various conditions of heat/cold, lighting conditions, and noise levels. This position may also require assisting young children with activities of daily living including, but not limited to daily typical hygiene tasks.

Compensation: $60,000 - $65,000 per year
