Job Purpose: As a Machine Operator you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various manufacturing machines and equipment to ensure the efficient production of high-quality furniture and equipment products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up, operate, and monitor machines and equipment according to established procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Load raw materials into machines and monitor the production process to ensure proper operation and quality output.
  • Adjust machine settings as needed to achieve desired product specifications and quality standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on machines and equipment, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts as necessary.
  • Troubleshoot machine malfunctions and make minor repairs to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
  • Inspect finished products for quality, including dimensions, color, and surface finish, and make adjustments as needed to meet specifications.
  • Record production data and maintain accurate records of machine settings, maintenance activities, and production output.
  • Follow all safety regulations and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to coordinate workflow and address any issues or concerns.
  • Participate in training programs to develop and enhance machine operation skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience as a machine operator in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Familiarity with operating and maintaining various manufacturing machines and equipment.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime as needed.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods of time.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, heat, and dust.
  • Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
