MT/MLS IS PREFERRED FOR THIS NEED, BUT CLIENT WILL CONSIDER MLT TRAVELERS AT A 7BR RATE (Must meet/exceed submission requirements)

Performs and assesses validity of qualitative and quantitative tests and examinations used in the analysis diagnosis and treatment of disease utilizing various analyzers or manual methods on specimen sources such as blood, urine and other body fluids.

  1. Performs qualitative and quantitative tests and examinations using automated instrumentation or manual methods using established procedures.
  2. Performs established quality assurance procedures (quality control testing; instrument function checks and calibrations); maintains appropriate documentation; investigates and resolves deviations from expected performance.
  3. Assesses accuracy and validity of obtained test results by applying knowledge of relevant scientific principles; recognized changes that are critical to patient care; identified probably causes for irregular and atypical findings.
  4. Maintains records of tests and examinations and final results for all record functions and inquiries related to patient care.
  5. Troubleshoots instruments and resolves technical problems whenever possible; documents corrective actions and reports problems to the department Supervisor or Manager as appropriate.
  6. May assist in instructing students and laboratory personnel in the principles and techniques of diagnostic tests and examinations.
  7. Performs phlebotomy according to established protocols.
  8. Performs other duties as assigned.
  9. Performs order entry and specimen receipt; provides customer service to all customers of the laboratory.

NO MORE THAN 5 DAYS OF RTO WILL BE ACCEPTED (less is better).  

Travelers must be available to work Memorial Day and weekend before, and July 4 Holiday.  RTO around these holidays will not be approved.  


Local Travelers - Those who reside within 75 miles of the facility must be uploaded at a 10% reduction in rate/hour

Requirement description : MT/MLS IS PREFERRED FOR THIS NEED, BUT CLIENT WILL CONSIDER MLT TRAVELERS AT A 7BR RATE (Must meet/exceed  submission requirements)
  • Minimum 2 years current experience - Required
  • Confirmed with facility - BLS is required for this need!
  • HIGH PROFICIENCY IN TESTING IN ALL AREAS OF LAB (MUST BE AN MT "GENERALIST") - 
  • High proficiency in PHLEBOTOMY, chemistry, hematology, blood bank, urinalysis, and read Gram stains/plate culture specimens in microbiology.
  • ASCP REQUIRED - EQUIVALENT CERTIFICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED
  • Bachelor Degree - Required
  • EPIC experience - Required
  • PHLEBOTOMY/VENIPUNCTURE EXPERIENCE - REQUIRED
  • Travel experience – Highly preferred
