Role: System Support Engineer 

Location: Allentown PA/Remote 

Duration: 6+ Months 

Job Description: 

Job Summary/Description: 

• Support migration of several applications between Op-Cos. Assist in review, installation, modification, maintenance, data migration of vendor application. Understand complex application architecture. Investigate system, environment, issues, traces problems, troubleshoots. 

Job Duties: 

• Able to make progress in a fast-paced environment with little oversight. 

• Strong verbal/written communication & facilitation skills. 

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. 

• Ability to understand complex architectures and be comfortable working with multiple teams.

• Ability to conduct performance analysis, capacity management and troubleshoot large scale distributed systems.

• Position Requirements (Required Skills):   

• Experience in application servers such as IIS, Apache tomcat. 

• Understand Active directory and role-based access. 

• Experience in Application migration and documenting migration strategy and deployment process. 

• Well versed in programming languages such as Java, C#, PowerShell) 

• Experience in SQL Server & oracle databases. Must be able to understand & write pl/sql scripts. Understand different backup & replication strategies. 

• Experience in gas utility applications (PCS, Sendout, CGI) 

• Experience implementing 3rd party APIs and using tools like Postman. 

• Have solid understanding of security practices. 

• Experienced in using different application integration mechanism and protocols (SFTP, FILE based, Rest) 

Special Skills: 

• Azure cloud 

• Utility industry experience (Gas)
