Position Description:

Seeking an innovative, strategic, and expansive thinker to provide both expertise and inspiration as a User Experience Researcher for our financial suite of products. You’re at the forefront of setting strategic direction for our products and championing the voice of the user throughout our organization. We dive deep with our customers to understand what they really want and need and help our product teams turn those insights into actionable steps. We are an empathetic, inclusive, and curiosity-driven team who serve as close partners with our product team members and fierce advocates for our users.

 

Skills Required:

  • Leading high level, strategic research initiatives utilizing innovative research methods and experiments to help drive product direction for the organization.
  • Partnering with Product Managers, UX Designers, and other product team members to understand customer needs and opportunities.
  • Owning the user research process for your products throughout the product lifecycle, from problem definition and research planning to synthesis and stakeholder buy-in. Planning, conducting, and facilitating user research sessions such as user interviews, contextual inquiry, co-creation workshops, data analysis, lean experimentation, etc. Championing user experience research and design to departments across the company.

 

Skills Preferred:

  • High level strategic thinking and analysis for both early stage concepts and established products. Ability to thrive in and make sense of highly ambiguous problem spaces.
  • Ability to think outside the box and be creative to find the best and most suitable ways to get the answers needed for product direction.
  • Listening, being thoughtful, and having deep compassion and advocacy for the users of your products.
  • Owning your own work, processes, and direction for the research on your products.
  • Taking a highly collaborative approach with your partners in the product organization.
  • Helping coach and guide product teams on the value of user research and design.

 

Experience Required:

  • 4+ years of experience as a User Researcher.
  • 4+ years of experience leading user research initiatives for highly collaborative, multidisciplinary teams.

 

Experience Preferred:

  • 6+ years of experience as a User Researcher.

 

Education Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree

 

Education Preferred:

  • Master’s, or PhD in user experience, human-computer interaction, sociology, anthropology, psychology, design, or related degree
